"The Friendliest, Most Personalised Tutoring Around"

About Our Lessons

At Gloria Kaneko's Elite Tutoring College, our lessons are conducted in small, personal groups of 2 to 3 students, with an absolute maximum of 4.

Each group is only formed from students whose individual needs and levels match one another, and not simply for the sake of making up numbers. This allows us to specifically design each lesson's content around the students' needs and development, making each tutoring session as effective as it can possibly be.

This highly effective approach to our lessons is closely modelled after the well-respected Jewish system used in Israel. Google, the fastest-growing company in history, also recognises the working effectiveness of small groups - they organise their staff in groups of 3 to 5 people to work on each project.

Some of the benefits of being tutored in small groups rather than one-on-one or in larger groups (as in most coaching colleges) are:

  • Small groups promote a high level of interaction, so students learn by discussing and from other students' ideas and mistakes.
  • Small groups breed a positive sense of pride and competition in students, creating more incentive from peers to excel, compared to students studying one-on-one or in large groups.
  • Students in small groups need less tutoring time than those in large coaching college classes because they are not forced to study what they already know, saving time and money.
  • Studying in large coaching college classes is no different to taking school lessons a second time!
  • In small groups the tutor can focus on what students need to know and on their weaknesses, which is not possible in larger groups and coaching colleges with a fixed curriculum.
  • Because different schools progress at different speeds and often reorganise their curriculum material, students need to be tutored according to their school studies. Small tutoring groups have the flexibility to allow students to do this, unlike larger groups and coaching colleges with a fixed curriculum.

In our experience, this personalised approach to tutoring allows our students to develop more rapidly and successfully than any other method.

Before starting their lessons, each new student is evaluated and their requirements and goals are discussed. The structure and weekly duration of their lessons are then agreed upon, together with their parents if they wish.
